NATIONAL NETBALL LEAGUE

THE PACIFIC FORUM LINE NATIONAL LEAGUE

The National Netball League was proudly sponsored by Polynesian Shipping Line from 2012 to 2015, and is now supported by Pacific Forum Line. Currently, the Samoa Netball Association boasts nine (9) major clubs, each entering multiple teams into the League, which runs over a 12-week competition period.

The League continues to attract a wide and diverse pool of players from young, upcoming athletes taking their first steps into competitive netball, to experienced players from the working community who continue to contribute their skills and passion to the game. It offers a unique environment where different generations of players come together, fostering a strong sense of community, mentorship, and growth.

Beyond providing regular competition, the National Netball League also serves as an important pathway for elite and high-performance development. It allows talented athletes to be identified, nurtured, and prepared for national representation and international opportunities. This year, the League remains committed to increasing participation, strengthening the quality of play, and ensuring that Samoa continues to build a strong pipeline of future netball stars who can compete at the highest levels.

TEAM UP

SAFEGUARDING AGE GROUP LEAGUE

The Safeguarding Age Group League is a commitment to the safety, well-being, and development of our youngest athletes. Designed to promote the importance of safeguarding in sport, this league ensures that children are provided with a safe, supportive environment where they can learn, play, and grow with confidence.

At the grassroots level, creating safe spaces is essential. The Safeguarding Age Group League allows children to fully enjoy the sport of netball while feeling protected and comfortable in their surroundings that is free from harm, pressure, or fear.

Through this initiative, we are not only developing future athletes, but also nurturing their love for the game in an environment that puts their welfare first.

The league serves as a foundation for positive sporting experiences, helping to build trust, resilience, and respect among young players, while reinforcing the values of safe sport for coaches, parents, and the wider community.

FARMER JOE PRIMARY SCHOOL TOURNAMENT

The Annual Farmer Joe Primary School Netball Tournament plays a vital role in the development of netball at grassroots level in Samoa. With gratitude to our proud sponsor, Farmer Joe Supermarket this tournament provides an incredible platform for young athletes across the country to showcase their talent and passion for the game.

Welcoming teams from primary schools nationwide, the tournament features competitions in the U8, U10, U12, U14 girls, and U14 boys categories. Beyond competition, the event is a key part of our development pathway, helping to nurture young players, instill core skills, and build a strong foundation for their netball journey.

By providing these opportunities, we not only encourage physical activity and teamwork at a young age, but also ensure our children are supported and inspired as they grow through sport.

This tournament continues to highlight the importance of investing in our youth, and we are sincerely thankful to Farmer Joe for their ongoing commitment to the future of netball in Samoa.
